RECAP Online Oral Presentation Guidelines

1. General Format

  • Presentation Type: Single-slide virtual presentation

  • File Type: PowerPoint (.pptx) or PDF (.pdf)

  • Slide Orientation: Landscape (horizontal)

  • Slide Dimensions: Widescreen 16:9 ratio (1920 × 1080 px)

  • File Size Limit: ≤ 20 MB

  • Font Type: Sans-serif (recommended: Arial, Calibri, or Helvetica)

  • Font Size: Minimum 24 pt for body text; 36–44 pt for titles

  • Background: Light color with dark text or vice versa; avoid gradients or busy patterns

3. Design and Layout

  • Column Layout: 2 or 3 columns with clear section headers

  • Color Palette: Use 2–3 complementary colors (e.g., blue, white, grey); ensure high contrast

  • Images: Use high-resolution (≥ 150 dpi) images and graphs

  • Avoid clutter: Leave sufficient white space between elements

  • Alignment: Maintain consistent margins and spacing

4. Presentation & Submission

  • Presentation Mode:

    • Single slide shared on screen during your 3–5 minute virtual presentation

  • Voice/Video Presentation (if unavailable during the conference):

    • Optional 3-5 minute recorded narration embedded in slide (≤ 10 MB audio/video)

  • Submission Format:

    • Filename format: PresenterName_Department_RECAP2025_PresentationTitle

    • Submit via email by 18th Nov 2025 11 am IST.

  • Evaluation Criteria:

    • Scientific clarity and originality (40%)

    • Visual design and readability (30%)

    • Presentation delivery (20%)

    • Q&A handling / engagement (10%)

2. Structure and Content

Each oral presentatin should clearly communicate a self-contained research summary in one frame.

Recommended Sections (for uniformity):

  1. Title, Authors, and Affiliation(s)

    • Title in bold, centered at the top

    • Include department, institution, and email ID of corresponding author

  2. Abstract / Introduction

    • 3–4 concise sentences summarizing background and objective

  3. Aim / Objectives

  4. Materials and Methods

    • Use schematic diagrams or flowcharts where possible

  5. Results

    • Use graphs, tables, or bullet points; avoid text-heavy blocks

  6. Discussion / Conclusion

    • Highlight major findings and relevance

  7. References (optional, 3–5 max)

  8. Acknowledgments / Funding / Conflict of Interest (if any)

5. Technical Tips

  • Ensure readability on laptop screens during online viewing

  • Test slide sharing on Google Meet before presentation

  • Avoid excessive animations or transitions

  • Keep total text ≤ 300 words
